How to add character to mugen

How to add a character to mugen is very simple if you know how and I'm going to tell you how.

Step 1: down load your character from any mugen website that suports your version of mugen i.e linux, mac, win, etc.

Step 2: After the char file is downloaded then right click on it and unzip it into the character's file in the mugen game file, or if this does not work then either download and unziping device such as winzip or, simply right click on the file and click open and there should be a file with the same name inside minus of course the .zip. right click and either copy or cut and then paste this file into your mugen character file.

Step 3: After getting the character pasted into the mugen char's file then take note of what the file name is write it down or simply right click the file high light the name and click copy, next go to the mugen data file and then right click the sellect .def file, click open if it does not open then, select a program to open it with I would suggest note pad because it free and it is already on your computer.

Step 4: Your doing good almost done, once the select.def file is open, it should give you some instruction's on the exact format of adding the character read that if you want to, but to add a character schroll down the page until you find the char listings if you have the basic version of mugen the there should only be kfm, for a charater right under neath his name just right click and paste your character's file name and add a comma after it, close and save the file and then you are done.

Step 5: Playing with your character, to start mugen now all you have to do is go close mugen out if already open click on the mugen file and go to win mugen (if using win mugen) file the application not the document and double click and goto any of the play modes and tada your character is now in the game.
